I’ve never been much of a lipstick wearer, in fact it’s only since I started LolaStarHearts that I’ve begun to wear it on a regular basis. But when these babies landed on my doorstep I will admit that I squealed like a child.

Rouge Edition is a new range of lipsticks from Bourjois, consisting of 18 radiant colours with a half-gloss finish. I’ve got 04 – Rose Tweed* and 18 – Violine Strass* and I’m loving them.

Rose Tweed is a gorgeous pinky nude with a slightly glossy finish and Violine Strass is a plum with golden tones. Both colours are extremely moisturising and don’t dry my lips out. They also apply really well, although Rose Tweed tends to cling to any dry bits so a lip scrub is definitely needed beforehand. Although the lasting time is pretty good, I find that they tend to fade slightly patchy so top ups are a necessity.

Bourjois Rouge Edition lipsticks are available to buy from Superdrug, Boots and Selfridges, priced at £7.99 each.

Another freebie post ..

It’s been a little while since my last freebie post, so I thought I’d let you know about a few more that have cropped up.
They’re not all exactly free, as you’ll have you pay P&P. But here goes…
First one is one I’ve blogged about before, but it’s an absolute favourite of mine so I have to share it again. It’s the Nivea Super Moisturising Lipstick in Big Berry. It’s not as dark as it appears to be in the picture, it’s more of a sheer pink/lilac – I’m wearing it in my sidebar picture!

It’s priced at £6.99 on the HalfPricePerfumes website, but if you click here and enter code freenivealippy at the checkout you’ll only have to pay £1.99 P&P. I’ve got two of these as I love it so much.

Next up is Rimmel Stay Matte Dual Action Concealer, available in Classic Beige or Soft Ivory – which of course are a tad too light for me. Haven’t used Rimmel Dual Action Concealer before, but I’ve read some good reviews on it.

Priced at £4.99, again on HalfPricePerfumes, but if you click here and enter code freerimmel you’ll only have to pay £1.99 P&P.

Last up from HalfPricePerfumes is Bourjois Volume Clubbing Mascara in Brown. This isn’t something that really interests me as brown mascara makes my lashes completely invisible.

This mascara is £7.99, but of course the same drill as last time – click here and enter code freebourjoismascara to only pay £1.99 P&P.

Next up is a free sample – and a bit of a weird one. If you head to the website and fill out a mini questionnaire you can get a free sample of Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment. Now before you click the little [X], wait …

Any tattooed ladies reading will know that this is perfect to apply on new tattoos to help them heal. BUT many a beauty blogger has hailed it as the perfect lip treatment. Anyone who suffers from very dry, chapped lips should give this a go.

Don’t be put off by the name, order a free sample and give it a try!

Next is a sample of Silderm Stretch Mark Oil. Perfect for pregnant tummies, or those unsightly puberty stretch marks. I haven’t received my sample yet so I can’t say much about it, but for free? Hmm, why not?!

Not really a beauty product, or a freebie, but 4Kandles.co.uk are offering a sample of their new collection – similar to the Yankee candle offer. You only need to pay 99p with free shipping and you get five different scents.
My last freebie, which again isn’t beauty related is this lovely set of Swarovski Princess pencils by ICE London. Click here to head to the website and enter code EGPN-004 into the search box, this will bring up all of the pencil sets that are eligible in the deal.

During checkout enter code MOS100 and you’ll only have to pay £1.95 P&P. They’ve experienced a high volume of requests so they’ll take a little while to arrive but they look really cute and I'm sure they'll be worth the wait.

So that’s it for my freebies, as always I’ll let you know when I come across more! :)

Review of freebies I've received! ..

Just a little post about freebies that I’ve recently received – all of they items were free but I paid P&P for all of them.

Bourjois Ombre Stretch Eyeshadow in Green
Bourjois claim that this eyeshadow contains nylon microspheres, allowing it to be “stretched and blended infinitely”. Not too keen on the colour but I want to give it a proper try before I rule it out completely.

Nivea Super Moisturising Lipstick in Big Berry
I’ve raved about this product before, but I really have fallen in love with it. It’s not as dark as it appears on the website, and glides on as a very sheer pink not purple. I liked it so much that I ordered another one as soon as it arrived, so I have one in my makeup bag and one in my handbag.

Revlon Mix & Mingle Lip Palette in Tango with Mango
Not my cup of tea at all. Very sticky gloss and the colours aren’t really for me. ‘nough said.

Fudge Oomf Conditioner
You get one sachet of these for free with every order from HPF so I’ve had three so far. It’s for “fine, limp hair” and my hair is far from fine and limp. I’ve been giving these as extras in my Beauty Box Swaps trades to get rid of them.

Big Shotz
Mango and Passion fruit vitamin and mineral drink delivering 10 daily vitamins at 100% RDA. Tastes … weird. One of those things you tell yourself tastes nice ‘because it’s good for you’. Probably wouldn’t buy again, but was okay to try. The Boy didn’t really seem to think so though, and I had to force him to drink the whole thing!

Victory Tea Blend No 1
I love a good cuppa but the sample was a bit of a rip off – 16 ‘free’ teabags and £1.99 delivery make it more expensive than a normal pack. BUT I’m always willing to try something new so I gave it a go. Really like the tea, can’t explain the taste but there’s a definite difference to my usual PG Tips haha.
Percy & Reed Totally TLC Hydrating Mask
Got this free from Glamour Magazine this month and used it yesterday. I could definitely see and feel a difference in my hair afterwards. I stupidly decided to use a different shampoo & conditioner before the mask though, so I’m not sure if the difference was because of the shampoo or the mask. Probably wouldn’t buy it full price though.
Clinque Moisture Surge Gel
Got it free with April issue of Cosmopolitan. I’d heard rave reviews about it and the sample was worth about £18 (!) so really wanted to try it. Applied it one night before bed, instead of my Clarins Extra Firming Night Cream and … woke up with spots all over my face! Literally could have cried. I get the odd breakout around my TOTM and a few whiteheads here and there, but I had about 10 spots all over my face when I woke up. Never again!

The gel also came with a lipgloss that I’m yet to use. Might apply it over my lipstick to see what it’s like.

So that’s it, always on the lookout for free stuff – so when I know, you’ll know :).

My next post is a little treat for you ;)

Lola ..x
