I think books make wonderful Christmas gifts and this book is amazing! Beauty, what it is and how to Retain it* is the perfect Christmas gift for her – and of course for a fellow beauty blogger.

It contains lots of absurd advice on the Victorian beauty regime, and it’s absolutely hilarious.

’A little gin may be used instead of eau de Cologne.’ – Gotta love going to work smelling like you’ve been out on a bender!

It’s a great little book and will make an entertaining read for any beauty enthusiast. And if you're feeling guilty then something like All Quiet On The Western Front is a good option for the Mister.

Gift Guide: So...? Sinful Gift Set

There’s nothing like a cheap and cheerful stocking filler and this set from So…? Fragrances ticks all of the boxes.

The So..? Sinful City* box set contains a 30ml EDT, a 50ml body lotion and a 10ml lip balm.

I remember So..? scents as being sickly sweet and completely overbearing but the Sinful City set is really mellow. Whilst still carrying sweet notes, the perfume is quite musky and would make the perfect day or night fragrance.

The body lotion smells exactly like the spray, which I really like as I find that sometimes the lotions in gift sets are nothing like the perfume!

It’s nice that the set comes with a lip balm, as it’s not really an item you’d usually see in a perfume gift set but honestly speaking, the balm isn’t the best. It’s smells very artificial and would probably be suited to very young girls.

Overall I think it’s a pretty decent set when you consider that the price tag is just £6.

My only dislike is that both the lotion and balm contain mineral oil, which I’m not really a fan of – especially when it comes to body care. But for £6 you can’t really complain.

Gift Guide: FCUK Friction For Her EDP

As well as bath sets, perfume is definitely an ideal stocking filler contender. I find that scents are quite personal so unless I know someone’s favourites I don’t usually go for anything high end. Although it’s an Eau De Parfum, I class FCUK Friction as more of a body spray, making it a perfect stocking filler.

It’s described as having a mix of ‘fruity, floral scents’ and a hint of vanilla. It smells gorgeous! It’s quite sweet and fairly ‘girly’ but very wearable. It’s the perfect day fragrance for a young woman. Plus the bottle is just lovely!

In terms of price point, a huge 100ml bottle will set you back around £12-14 so it’s extremely affordable.
